Best Free Resources for Legal Research (LITIGATION BASICS 12 )

Legal Reserach is one of the essential skill in the litigation practice. You cannot draft and argue your case without good research. The legal research is not only to find judgments. You have to analyse relevancy of judgments to the facts of your case. 

There are numerous paid and free sources availble for legal research. Junior Lawyers at intial stage of practice cannot afford paid softwares hence I have prepared list of free resources for legal research. 

** e-SCR -

e-SCR is recent initiative of the Hon'ble CJI. Digital version of Supreme Court Reports and All High Courts judgements are available on this portal.

** Indian Kanoon -

Indian Kannon is helpful for simplifying legal research work.
You can search for the supreme court and all High Courts Judgements on this website. Also it provides an option to download court copies of judgements.

** High Court Websites -
You have to search websites of your State High Court.
